Finding Faith ... in the kitchen

As we gathered to celebrate the life of our beloved brother-in-law, this photo filled my heart.

It is a photo in the kitchen of my sister Deb, who was married to Dave for more than four decades, and includes five generations of the women in our family doing what they do best: digging in together, working hard together and sharing love together.

As we gathered together to honor Dave, our husband\father\grandfather\brother-in-law\son-in-law\brother, it is bittersweet. ... But just as we have for generations, we lifted each other up, hugged out the hurt, made each other laugh, reminded each other to continue to love ... and most importantly, thanked God for our blessings.

Love, after all, is what we are left with in the end. ... We love you Dave.
